I can’t conceal that temperature of warm springs in Gilan province in northern Iran, is not as high as those which are located around ring of fire! Even those which reveals around quaternary volcanoes of Iran, Armenia and Turkey mountainous range, have quite higher temperatures and indicate a link between magmatic intrusives and hydrothermal fluids.

Gilan warm springs have temperatures between 18-34oC. Gilan is located in southern parts of Caspian plate that actually is a boundary of Eurasian plate and is caracterized by sever destructive tectonic features and earthquakes. Gilan hot springs are not related to intrusives. They are tectonic related hydrothermal fluids. In eastern province of Mazandaran (Ramsar area) there are mysterious radioactive hydrothermal fluids with highest rates of natural radioactivity in the world.

Gilan hot springs are not economically utilizable especially for electricity generation but old baleonological uses is not rejectable and extreme touristic attraction of the area suggest possible future investment capacities.
